Super Cute Paper Piecing ~ Butterfly Cross-Body Bag

Today I am sharing the fourth project in my book "Super Cute Paper Piecing"

I love to make useful items with my paper pieced blocks and I think this project fits the bill!
It is a perfect size bag and can be carried cross body which makes it incredibly versatile.

For the paper pieced butterfly - I used a tiny gingham for the border around the wings and a couple of my favorite Japanese fabrics for the wings.  The butterfly body is a tiny grey dot fabric.

Yesterday I received an advanced copy of the book.  I can't begin to tell
you how excited I am.  It really is a dream come true!

The Martingale team did such a fabulous job.

Super Cute Paper Piecing ~ Apple Wristlet

Today I am sharing another project from my book "Super Cute Paper Piecing".

My Apple Wristlet is a sweet and useful project.
The wristlet is a perfect size to use as a purse or just make the pouch to hold
sewing essentials or make-up.
I can't seem to have too many pouches!

If you are familiar with my work it is no surprise to see an apple themed project in the book : )

I designed this block for the book "Playful Little Paper Pieced Projects"

And this little zip pouch is in the same book.

I even made an apple block for an online block printing class from Jen Hewitt

If you want to get a head start on paper piecing an apple, I have this fun beginner apple block [HERE]
It is a perfect block to practice your paper piecing skills.

Super Cute Paper Piecing ~ Sewing Cottage Pillow

Hello!
I am So happy you stopped by. Today I am sharing the second project from my new book, "Super Cute Paper Piecing", which will be released this November!

This is the Sewing cottage pillow and it is a fun project to make.
It is the perfect protect for fussy cutting all those little windows!

This is a fun block that can be personalized for whatever little house you want to make.
Make a sewing, gardening or cooking themed house.  Let your imagination run wild : )

Because the blocks in this book are small,  I like to use small scale prints.
Small scale prints don't get lost is all those little pieces.

The Polka Dot used for the background is Moda Essential Dots.

Gingham prints are also a favorite of mine.  Tiny ones work best, I think.
Art Gallery Fabrics has a fun new line of gingham you can find [HERE]

Riley Blake has a line called Small Cotton Gingham which comes in a lovely array of colors.

I am looking forward to having time to make an entire quilt with these cute little houses!

Super Cute Paper Piecing ~ Colored Pencil Pouch

I am so excited to start sharing projects from my new book ~ "Super Cute Paper Piecing"!
Every week I will share a project from my book until the book releases in November.

All info about the book can be found on my blog [HERE]

This is the first project in the book.  This cute colored pencil is one pattern unit, so it is the perfect project to paper piece.

I love that the patchwork bottom panel has fussy cuts to take advantage of the cute prints!

The body of the pouch is Essex Linen in color Flax.  Essex Linen is a favorite of mine and you will see it used in half of the projects in the book.

The red polka dot is from Moda ~ Essential Dots.
Polka dots are another one of my favorite prints for fussy cut projects.

In the book you will find a "How To" section which will teach you to Paper Piece, and Fussy Cut.
Both skills are important to master to make this first project.
